Welcome to the Faculty Affairs Unit!
The faculty affairs unit is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion while supporting the College of Engineering faculty and staff through collaboration and personalized assistance. We manage key processes such as faculty recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, development, and retention. Additionally, we manage Promotion and Tenure (P&T), award nominations, annual and sabbatical reviews, emeritus requests, and oversight of college committees.
How We Support You:
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with departments to attract and retain exceptional talent, promote diversity and inclusion, and contribute to strategic planning with the Dean’s leadership team.
- Managerial Support: Ensure timely performance reviews, update evaluation policies, and coordinate faculty development programs.
- Advocacy and Representation: Promote faculty achievements, increase visibility, and engage in key committees to support the College’s objectives.
- Faculty Portfolio Training: Provide support and training on the University of Arizona’s Faculty Portfolio system, ensuring effective use and navigation.
